DEVELOPMENT OF CENTER

OMETEPE JANUARY AND FEBRUARY 2018


We thank God for His Faithfulness and for the people He sent to help move
forward the work on the Island in Ometepe. We especially thank God 
for my parents who played a big role in helping prepare the center for future children's events as well as training courses for teachers in the churches on Ometepe.

And then we took out the tools. 

We have had to do a lot of cleaning, organizing of
old toys, cleaning chairs and tables as well.

Toys had to be sorted, cleaned and organized
                                                                     



 Good toys were stored in boxes and given
away to Pastors
Kitchen was relocated to make room
for teaching area  

















Beds moved from old bedroom area and
counters moved. Fridge and stove
were also added to new kitchen area.

This wall will be for projecting images for
teachers courses and children's classes. The shelving
had to come down. 









Good use of the existing structure in 
the building was used to make 
a tool box. 




As well, Mom made curtains for windows for privacy.  

While Dad worked on other construction details,
Mom spent hours painting windows and doors.






Thanks to God, my parents and others who
have supported us, very soon we will
be holding courses here.

We were also able to find a nice set
of stools and table to create
a nice seating area in the kitchen 

As you can see the new tool box can fit a lot of
tools, even an 8 foot ladder!

 Plans for bathroom. 
At the end of all that, our next challenge 
was to make plans to convert
this outhouse into a bathroom
for our students. 
But after all her help in the construction, baking classes in the center and
help with the crafts with the kids, Mom said
That's it, I'm pooped, let me sleep! 


When Emmanuel heard we were
going to make a new bathroom

He pulled out the hammer to start helping Daddy
build!!

He even helped Daddy with some of the Yard clean up
in Preparation for the construction!

Visit to Churches in Ometepe January and February 2018. During my family and friends visit to Nicaragua in January and February 2018, we had the opportunity to minister to children in 3 churches in Ometepe from the locations of Merida, Moyogalpa and San Jose. These churches are from the Fraternity of Churches denomination. Besides teaching God's Word, my mother, my aunt Marj and friends were in charge of the crafts. A total of 200 children were able to listen to the Message of Salvation through our lessons and 13 adults. 47 children were led to Christ. Children from Church in San Jose enjoying their crafts. Missionary Visits to CEF Nicaragua and Ometepe

MISSIONARY VISITS FROM FAMILY AND FRIENDS My parents, family members and friends of family enjoy helping in our Feeding centers in Managua Nicaragua when they come   Mom, Aunt Marj and friends always enjoy interacting with the kids doing crafts and games after our evangelistic outreaches Around 100 children came to this evangelical event, in  a poor settlement in Masaya, under the roof of the pastors church THANKS TO OUR FAMILY IN CHRIST FROM ADVANCING NATIVE MISSIONS Much needed repairs and  Painting got done on the  office in Managua Nicaragua, thanks to the efforts of the team from ANM. Baking Lessons for locals in Ometepe January and february 2018.

OUTREACH TO THE CHURCHES IN OMETEPE JANUARY AND FEBRUARY 2018 We wanted the church community in Ometepe to get to know us. My parents and I thought that a good way to promote of the ministry would be to teach free baking classes for the locals. The idea was also to empower the local ladies from the churches with baking skills to be able to open their own business or to use them for their own family. Mom not only was busy helping with painting and renovations on the building, she also decided to hold a baking class with the ladies from the churches! She not only did demonstrations of baking, she asked for the active participation of all the students in her class. Tia Marj and group were keeping the children occupied while their mothers attended the baking class.
